Our Endeavors

In keeping with our Mission Statement, the Federation has educated hundreds of thousands of people about cancer. Following are a few if these endeavors:

1. Radio and Television. For many months the Federation sponsored it's own radio program in Palm Springs, featuring therapist, and others. Also, Federation staffers have over the years, appeared on hundreds of radio & TV programs in such cities as Chicago, Pittsburgh, San Jose, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Chico, Palm Springs, Pomona, Kansas City, Anaheim, Portland, Salt Lake City, Riverside, Corona and many more.
2. Classes. Hundreds of FREE classes have been offered to the public. A series for cancer patients, led by Richard Luther was held at many locations in California, including Riverside Church of Religious Science and Home Savings in Santa Ana, Pomona and Riverside, and in many other locations in Brea, Ontario, Long Beach, Glendale, Pasadena, Los Angeles, Culver City and many more.
3. Conferences. FREE conferences are held annually. The federation has held daylong conferences in the city of Riverside since 1977; featuring top scientist from around the nation. Many of our speakers are researchers funded by the Federation, and they are carrying out their research at major hospitals and college. Thousands of people have attended these free conferences. Provided at these conferences at no charge are tens of thousands of copies of Federation tapes books, magazines, and pamphlets distributed to patients, caregivers, scientists, and the general public.
4. FREE Public Meetings. Over the years, along series of FREE public meetings have been held at Home Savings and Loan in Riverside and at other California locations. These meetings were conceptually based on the Federation book, An Inward Stillness, & An Inward Healing, which was used as a textbook free of charge. Thousands have attended those weekly meetings and received such literature as the Federation magazine, various pamphlets, Federation tapes, and books.
5. Media Education. Several hundreds interviews have been held over the years with such media outlets as newspapers and magazines by Federation representatives such as Leslie Brusky and Dr. Virginia Livingston; along with many patients and physicians.
6. National Educational Outreach. FREE classes and meetings have been held at such locales as the University of Illinois, Chicago; The University of Pittsburgh; Loyola College, Chicago; Desert Hospital and Eisenhower Hospital, Palm springs; The University of San Diego ( and 4 others in that city); San Jose State University; Pacific University ; The University of Washington; and a great many others. These classes were attended by students and faculty.
7. The Federation Facility, Banning,CA. The facility is the scene of outreach programs, conferences and counseling of cancer survivors. National education mailings originated from this center. The faculty welcomes community use of its premises for various activities, including weddings in its garden. Any service organization is welcome to apply to take advantage of this excellent venue, free of charge.
8. Printed Material. Over the past 25 years, hundreds of thousands of copies of the Federation's publications (books, magazines, and pamphlets) have been given away FREE to the general public. No charge is ever demanded.
9. Distribution of Government Materials. For the past 20 years, the Federation has served as a distribution center of materials published by the Federation Center for Disease Control. We have distributed many copies of their numerous materials without charge, to the public, at a considerable saving to the taxpayers.
